my name is Michele Lapietra I was born in Monopoli, a small town in the South of Italy. I approached the world of photography a few years ago through the use of small compact cameras.

 

Actually, I've always been fascinated by the way the chemistry transforms a photography negative into moments of life stories. I love photography because it is the only way through which I can express my view of the world, because a box and a lens transmit what I see. I’ve studied as a surveyor and worked as a bartender for many years. What to do with photography? I do not know ... probably nothing, but in both jobs,

 

I loved being in touch with people and tell the stories that they narrate through images that speak for themselves, without the need to be explained. Incited by this passion, I decided to move to Rome to study and be prepared even at the theoretical level. I study reportage at "Officine photographic" and my biggest dream would be to work for National Geographic and try to transmit my feelings through my photos and be appreciated.
